Similar help and support threads Thread Forum I built a new computer this month and a couple of weeks ago I installed Office 365 with absolutely no problems. Today I uninstalled Office in the hopes that I could move it off my off SSD and on to my HDD. Turns out I don't think that's possible, but the real problem is I cannot get it to work at.
Setup cannot find ProPlus.WW ProPlsWW.cab when installing Office 2007 Professional Plus ( Pro Plus).
Microsoft Office I bought a Samsung RF711 with Windows 7 and Microsoft Office Starter 2010 in June 2012. I had to reinstall the system from the DVD.
While Windows 7 is up and running, there seems to be no installation files for Microsoft Office Starter 2010. The Samsung support website for this computer does. Installation & Setup Ok so I upgraded to windows 7 from vista. I took the microsoft office folder from windows.old and put it in program files in windows 7. How do i reinstall it using the microsoft folder or do I need the CD again?

I am installing Microsoft Office 2007 on a Vista Business computer. I am using Volume Licensing Software on multiple computers. I have installed this program on four previous computers with no problems. There are fourteen Licenses available. When I attempted an install on this last computer I receive the message that states 'proplus.ww proplsww.cab is missing'. Where do I find this file? I've done a search on one of the other computers that had a successful install (including the Registry), but did not turn up the file there either.
If the file is missing on those computers as well, why did I have a successful install on those but not on the last one? Can anyone identify this file for me and indicate where I might find it please? Thank you for your assistance!
Regards, Vic garfield-n-odie MVP 5/10/2007, 14:04 น. Hi I also get this error. I have the files copied on a CD. I can install it on 20 computers.BUT I have one I cannot. I get the classic error 'setup cannot find ProPlus.WW ProPlsWW.cab browse to a valid installation source and then click OK'. I can point it to the file all day. I have looked long and hard for an answer.
The best one is to re-format the drive and start again. Margolispei - Margolispei's Profile: View this thread: Sunny 11/8/2008, 21:34 น. Well, I am using a Corporate version of this app.I can install it on PC after PC until I hit this one.
Then I got this error. I checked the Internet forums and lots get this error. One mentioned a registry fix regarding HKEYLOCALMACHINE, Software, Office (not 100% of the path) and then key Ver11 or something like that, but it never worked for me. I have the user working with MS Office 2003 and the Compatibility Pack right now and have given up trying to get Office 2007 on that PC. At this point it would be quicker to put a fresh image on the PC and install Office 2007.
Thanks for all the replies. Jim Barr 20/9/2008, 8:33 น. I ran into this error yesterday trying to install on one machine (XP SP3, Office 2000 upgrade). Tried about 6 times with the same error 'invalid location' when trying to copy proplsww.cab Finally when it asked to point to Prolus.ww I opened explorer to copy the ProPlusWW folder to the desktop. Got a CRC error and could not copy the file.
Assumed a bad CD so back to the office to burn a new one. Once there I tried on my machine to copy the ProPlusWW folder off the CD and it copied fine, so much for the bad CD theory. Guess I have to go back to the users machine and try the copy without the installer running? Can anyone make any sense of this? Milly Staples MVP - Outlook 20/9/2008, 17:28 น.
Been screwing with this error all nite. Copied the files from Enterprise 07 to hard drive as someone suggested and got Invalid DOD funtion for that same file (ProPls.).
Any other work arounds before I tell corproate that their I couldn't get their disk to work on my Windows 7 after everyone else has successfully installed it on Vista and XP? I believe I'm the 1st one to use it on my new Windows 7 puter (which I just got today). EggHeadCafe - Software Developer Portal of Choice XML WebServices Architecture: Origin of Species victorIvanov, 23:05 น. Hi friends, I resolved the problem with the missing proplsww.cab by installing office 2007 from a disc image on the hard disk. Just copy the instalation disc onto ISO image on your hard disk and mount the image to a virtual drive (I used daemon tools). After that start the instalation from the virtual drive and everything must go smoothly (at least it worked nice for me on windows xp sp3).
